Dobloon
(my MFA thesis project, working in progress)
Dobloon means gold coins. It is a rewards program that empowers locals to rediscover their city in a gamified and rewarding way. It offers curated challenges that encourage users to visit and experience different places and activities in the city, rewarding them with points redeemable for local perks and benefits.
Dobloon means Spanish gold coins—the treasures everyone dreamed of during the Age of Exploration. The logo consists of solid circles symbolizing coins, while the last letter “n” is made of a semicircle and a rectangle, forming the shape of a treasure box icon that can be used separately as a secondary logo within the system.
The current branding is developed based on the second direction from the first round logo pitch(below). The first direction emphasizes playfulness and fun, the second is characterized by the treasure box icon and coins, and the third highlights the city's vibrant and diverse landscape as the main focus.
I am working on the third round of refinement focusing on the visual system.
